Hi:
Can somebody explain this behavior?
Something about process groups or controlling terminal
requiring a shell process to go between
the 'screen' and the soft IOC?
Thanks,

Using screen with a script that calls the ioc startup script works,
as suggested by several
people.
$ cat ./st.screen
#!/bin/sh
./st.boot
$ screen ./st.screen
...
When I try to specify the startup script at the same
time (i.e. "screen ./st.cmd"), the ioc starts but on any
caget/caput/... command the screen terminates without any error
message.
