Dear Fellow Tech-Talkers,

Due to the wait of requests, please follow the below link to the Hytec 8601 IP Motor Controller EPICS Driver.

The 8601 is a Quad Stepper Motor Driver IP Card, where the hardware was designed to fully support the Motor Record.
There is a link to the notes on the same page.

The code is not a full release, as we are waiting for Diamond/Argonne to finalise their modifications to the motor record and a gap in my work load, but instead it uses....

  • 4 ao records (for start speed, max speed, acceleration and movement in steps) .
  • A single mbbiDirect record for monitoring the motor status bits.

There is records for each of the four motors on each card, and I have included an example edm screen.

It is fully functional, but not fully commented and contains loads of superfluous debug code, and is presently used for hardware testing.
