Dear all
Just wondering whether anyone has got an XYCOM XVME-566 card
working in single-ended mode with a Power PC MVME5100 under
EPICS R3.14(.8.2) ?
I seem to be having two problems:
1. I am puzzled why the reported raw value of my ai test record
is stuck at 4095 when there is no input signal attached to
the card. I have checked the numerous switch/link settings
exhaustively but can't see anything obviously wrong.
2. After a WARM reboot the following error message is issued:
PV: ppcdev:my_ai_record devAiXy566Se (init_record) ai_xy566_driver error
On subsequent COLD reboots the card is successfully recognised.
The documentation for the card refers to the need to disable
the Sequence Controller Enable Bit (Bit 8) in the Control/Status
Register before performing a warm reset. I can't see any support
for this in the driver (although I can see support for disabling
some interrupts).
Many thanks for any light anyone can shed

Hi,
I believe this has nothing to do with EPICS version and processor used.
Try to terminate the inputs with 50 Ohm and see what you read then. The
single ended inputs go to high if nothing is connected.
