Hi,

Nothing that I'm aware of could be blocking UDP. The Linux machine where I was running the soft IOC is on the same subnet as the VxWorks machine and the E5810A. Someone suggested here that I should try running the soft IOC on a linux laptop plugged into the same ethernet port as the VxWorks machine, just to double check this.

By the way, if this is relevant, the firmware version on the E5810A is A.01.02.
Also, I don't think I have changed any settings, apart maybe getting it to boot via DHCP.

Cheers,
Matthew

We use quite a few E5810s here. Most with systems other than
vxWorks, though.

The error you're seeing is coming from clnttcp_create when it is
trying to map the VXI-11 RPC program and version number to a TCP port
number on the E5810. Do you have any network gateways between the
IOC and the E5810 that could be blocking the UDP request to the
portmapper in the E55810? Is your 55810 set to its factory defaults?
