Thanks. Another small problem. Medm expects /usr/lib/libXm.a which on my computer is at /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.a. What is the best was to specify where the library is located?

You need MEDM version 3.1.2.1 to use the R3.14 build files; MEDM 3.1.1 needs the old extensionsConfig area instead; I would definitely recommend getting the newer version of MEDM rather than trying to set up the older extensions area.
