Hi, Patrick.
Daron Chabot's suggestion of looking at caget/caput/camonitor is good.
They use the CA library in EPICS base.
Also, maybe you already know this, but you can call C functions from the
sequencer. So, depending on what you want to do, you might still be
able to use the sequencer.
