Hello,

By saying "I could not use Asyn to communicate with this scope" I meant
that I could not use Asyn directly. This scope uses the VICP protocol.

I had a C driver for this scope, so it was easier to develop the device
support. Because I am a newbie to EPICS, I was avoiding Asyn to be used
with this scope, when I had a ready-to-use driver.

I am using Asyn with many other devices, and it works great.
I regret if my statement looked like as if I am doubtful about Asyn :)

Looking forward to hear from you on updating problem. Developing asyn port
driver is another good option I see.

Thanks n regards,
