I suspect that document may have been created before the 750GX was released;

doesn't list it at all which is not quite the same thing.

Since the second document does explicitly say that the 750GX does belong to 
the PPC604 family I would believe that.  The PPC604 classification indicates 
the instruction set that the CPU executes, and it can't change with different 
operating system versions.

The fact that the 750GX is a PPC604 doesn't mean that it will _definitely_ 
work with vxWorks 5.5, but I suspect it probably will.  There are various 
reasons that it might not relating to things like any additional registers it 
may have that have to be configured, and vxWorks might check the processor ID 
register.

I don't know anything about the CPCI6190, but you should ask the board vendor 
whether they can provide a vxWorks 5.5 BSP for it.  If they do then that 
answers your question and I could see no reason why you wouldn't be able to 
run EPICS on it.
