Thanks everyone for sending me your tips for this. I really do
appreciate it.
I'm going to go away and digest my options, but I'll post back with
whatever I end up doing and how it works out.
Btw, at the moment, all the devices I'm using are register-based with
custom asynPortDrivers. So I can't make stubs via TCP or other
protocols, unfortunately. Nevertheless, I've tested each port driver
fairly substantially in isolation. So if I can test the GUI/Database
layer independently, it gives me confidence that I can throw everything
together in the facility with the minimum possible integration pain.[1]
