Done. Mark, you were right in
that I was did not have an CAS up and running while I was attempting to invoke
caExample. All is working now. Thanks for the help/assistance.

get rid of the carepeater error messages just put the path to
epics-base/bin/cygwin-x86 in your PATH environment variable. The
timeout error is another problem. Are you running an IOC that contains

EPICS_HOST_ARCH = cgwin-x86. The steps do not mention
anything about a caRepeater. Looks like I’m missing something
really subtle (as an EPICS “new-bie”). Any help/assistance/info will be
