Hi,
The gnome guys wrote a library called aravis for communicating with GigE cameras:
http://live.gnome.org/Aravis
I have written an areaDetector driver that wraps the aravis library:
http://controls.diamond.ac.uk/downloads/support/aravisGigE
So far it is only tested on the AVT Manta and Prosilica GC series, but I have briefly tried it on a Baumer camera and a JAI camera and I can get images out of them, although work is still needed to access various
features. In theory it should work with your camera too.
I am in the process of making a new release that fixes a variety of bugs, but the release on our website should at least tell you if aravis can talk to your camera
Thanks,
Tom Cobb

Has anyone developed or is currently developing an areadetector GigE Vision driver for the VDS 11000XR camera, also known as CCD011000XR or Scint-X DXI-11000
It uses an Ethernet adapter based on Pleora Technologies implementation of GigE Vision, used on many VDS Vosskuhler cameras (and maybe others), if that helps?
Many Thanks
