Note however that it's completely possible to link the EPICS libraries statically into an application -- resulting in an executable that depends only on libraries that are part of the standard Mac OS X distributuion. The effect should be much the same as a fully static build -- a distributable binary that runs on all Mac OS X platforms with no other extra effort
