Just in case anyone else got momentarily confused like me - the subject of this thread should be RRD, not RDD. RRDtools is the very widely used open source logging software used by most of the computer monitoring tools (Ganglia, Cacti. Zenoss etc). For information and documentation see: http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/
RDD stands for a number of things, but none of them are relevant.
