Hi,
I'm working on soft IOC that will need to deal with 64-bit numbers. Our
Linux based instrument supports reading and writing 64 signed and
unsigned values, both as scalars and as arrays.
Looking at menuFtype, there is no support for 64-bits. I would like to
see "long long" and "unsigned long long" support in the menuFtype.
Are there any plans on adding support for 64-bit types to menuFtype (for
3.14.x branch)?
Are there any workarounds for this issue?
I guess this change would affect basic EPICS type handling code - not
record, driver or device support code.
Best regards,
Hinko
