Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
|
|
The NSLS II will open two new positions to support the development of tools for commissioning and operation to add to our current development team. The tools are intended to provide
physicists and operators access to data from relational databases and physics data servers through PVAccess to CSS and a python environment. As we start to perform point to point check out and linac commissioning, the needs in this area are becoming important.
We have 12 months before these tools start to be needed. We expect the tool development to be a strong focus in our group from now through the completion of an experimental control and data analysis infrastructure is in place. The staged development of these
tools should take place over the next 5 years.
Please contact me if you have significant background, are ready for a challenge, and have an interest in either collaboration or relocation.
