Just to let you know I have managed to solve this using CSS 3.1.4:

importPackage(Packages.org.csstudio.opibuilder.scriptUtil);

var value = PVUtil.getDouble(pvs[0]);

widget.setPropertyValue("active_tab", value);

I have 6 exact same tab widgets on the operator screen and I'd like to change the active tab on all of them.
