Dear All,

I am trying to access PVs between three linux machine through the Wired Ethernet and Switch . Each machine have EPICS and CSS installed. Firewall is disabled.

Static IP addresses are 192.168.100.1, 192.168.100.2, 192.168.100.3
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and Gateway 192.168,100,50 is common on all machines.


Made one IOC and one Application on each machine using makeBaseApp.pl. PV of each IOC are running well and accessible from CSS OPI at local machine.

But many times I could not access the same PV on another CSS OPI in other linux machine over the LAN even with camonitor command. What cause this uncertainty.

I tried with multiple Environment Variable configuration.
like:

Could you please tell me what I missing here.Where the role of CaClient will come.
Also please help me with following errors
1: CA beacon (sent to "192.168.100.3:5065") error was "Connection Refused" and this automatically goes off when I try multiple time.
2: CA.Client.Exaception..............................................
Warning : "Empty PV search address list"
3: PV not found... error with "camonitor" command on local machine but same PV is working in CSS OPI .
  Many time this thing goes of when I run camonitor as a root.
4: What is Ideal directry in linux to install the EPICS base, where all user can use the EPICS base, without going in to root.
