Kevin, Brian, But also: the USB3/GigE cameras from Point Grey are very good and reliable. The configuration software and example viewer they provide for setting up the cameras is also very good. To limit the GigE cameras from swamping the rest of the network traffic, we tend to feed them into a second NIC on the machine running the areaDetector IOC. You might also consider feeding the signals from your analog cameras into an Axis video server, which is well under $1K for a 4 channel server. This allows you to grab JPEG images over http from any machine and with many software choices, such as wget. You can use the ADURL driver to read these images into areaDetecor to use its features and plugins. --Matt Newville
