Hi Stephen,
The CA protocol isn't particularly simple so I wouldn't really recommend trying to write your own implementation even of just part of it. However there is documentation of the packet types and their contents available; if you do go into this you'll want
to install the Wireshark plugin for debugging purposes, the one from Michael Davidsaver is probably the most up to date. Here's the documentation:
Don't worry about mixing versions, I don't think we actually document the most recent additions to the protocol here yet anyway.

Hi,
I'd like to send and receive a caget command over the network using a microcontroller. Could someone let me know the structure of the packet that I need to send to the network? And the structure of the packet that will come back?
