This is GitHub's response to my request for clarification of why I was
labeled not-a-human:

  Our bots never share their secrets!

  But, as I'm sure you can understand, GitHub's great community makes it
quite the spam magnet. To help stem the tide, we have to employ some
strong spam-fighting tactics. Sometimes we snare some legitimate users
in those nets, but we always make certain to set you free as soon as we
are aware."
