Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
|
Hi:
Is your raspberry pi the complete control system, or more like one IOC in the control system?
It’s perfectly fine to run IOCs on the pi, but the pi with its SD card for storage is not ideal as an NFS file server or a relational database server (MySQL).
You can run MySQL on an ordinary Linux computer with real disk, and then also run the archive engine and client GUI on there, getting data from one or more IOCs on one or more pies.

My professor suggested me to use the CSS archive engine from SNS (oak Ridge,TN) available here:
https://ics-web.sns.ornl.gov/css/updates/apps/
..
What i want is to store Epics PV's archive in my raspberry pi. Do you have any better suggestion compatible with CSS "Data-Browser" and MySQL?
