Hi Mohamed,
This is bit late conversation on this topic, but still not too late on it…
One of the topics that came up during the last EPICS collaboration meeting a little over a week ago was documentations. I happened to have some really basic tutorials written for our undergraduate research students learning the controls, so I sort of volunteered the availability of my tutorials. I spent a bit of time for consolidating some of the materials I have here:
https://physicsweb.creighton.edu/jiro/epics/tutorial/
I do not claim all of that as my original; some came from somebody else’s tutorial that once existed on the web. I have made some changes to fit my own need, too. But it may help get you started with EPICS, particularly if you have never used EPICS what so ever. As it is, I have nothing for you to try with PLC, but my tutorials may be helpful for you. I plan to add few more things on the URL above as time goes (some of the tutorials I have needs to be updated or cleaned up before I make them public).
Cheers,
Jiro
