What is the image size?

Are the frames being dropped in the NDStardardArray plugin? Or somewhere else? 

Mark Rivers has allowed certain plugins to use multiple computational threads, so if they are dropping in NDStandardArray, you could try giving it more threads to see if added CPU resources change when your drop frames.

Hello everyone,

I started to work with a Dectris strip Detector Mythen2 X 1K and I am using the Mythen module from AreaDetector. This detector can reach 1000fps, however the IOC starts to drop frames with frequencies higher than 100fps.

Has anyone experience this limitation with this type of detector?
To avoid network issues, I have a straight network connection between the PC and detector.

I also noticed that the IOC only requests 1 frame at a time when it could (according to the manual) requests multiples frames to avoid communication overheads. Has anyone tried implementing this?

- Ubuntu 16.04
- EPICS base 3.15.5
- ADCore 2-6
- ADMythen 2-0
