We at ALBA Synchrotron do not use epics in production, but in the Taurus 
community we use the public NSLS-II deb repos  to create our Docker container 
for Continuous Integration in debian8 [1]. Having these repos available was 
really appreciated for 

For continuous integration in debian 9 we had to build the packages locally 
from epicsdeb [2] due to the lack of a public repo at the time (but we would 
also love to use a public repo instead) .

Any local improvement from our side would be put immediately on epicsdeb

I am sure you already considered making the packages official in debian... but 
just in case you didn't know, debian is making it easier now by  moving their 
shared packaging repos to a gitlab-based infrastructure [3]
