We've been using a Thermo FHT 6020 in production for around 9 months
now; as far as I know it has been reliable. I believe our Rad Physics
group is happy with it as they've purchased several more and are
planning on installing them soon.
The only downside is that it's a bit slow. If you want to read from
multiple channels it can take several seconds, although with a single
channel (or maybe two) it can update once per second.
EPICS integration was straightforward. I wrote an asynPortDriver for
it, but StreamDevice would probably work fine for basic functionality.
