Hi Mark,

I made a pull request (on ADSupport), with these changes.

I hope that's OK.

Thanks,

Peter.

Hi Mark,

I am happy to report that I have the ADURL module working with IP camera mjepg streams, as well as snaphot images.

TODO: I've only tested it on Windows, so far.

Have a good weekend,

Peter.

Those Axis video servers work with ADURL. They have a "snapshot" mode where repeately loading the same URL returns the next JPEG image.

What Peter Heesterman wants is for ADURL to be able to handle video servers and cameras like these that don't provide a snapshot image, but rather only provide an mjpeg stream.

Mark

Hi,

As an alternative solution for old analog cameras, we've used these Axis video servers in the past:

https://www.axis.com/en-us/products/axis-m70-series

Looks like they sell 1, 4 and 16 channel versions.

Cheers,
Matt

We're thinking of using USB adapters on a Linux server for a small subset of the cameras, which will show up as /dev/videoX devices (much like consumer webcams show up in Linux). Therefore an areaDetector driver for generic webcams would work for me, I think.
