Dear Zhefu,

I don't know it the monitor threshold within the archive engine works the same as the ADEL field within EPICS records.

For EPICS PVs, to send everything even if there is no change, the ADEL field should be '-1'. '0' means at least 1 bit in VAL has to change.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Florian

Dear Dr. Kay,

For special purposes, I intend to let the archive engine write real time data to database every monitor period (my period is 1.0s), irrespective of whether the real time data changed.

I tried to set the XML configuration file for a monitor with engine enforced value change threshold of 0.0 as follows:

<channel>
<name>NSV:P2</name>
<period>1.0</period>
<monitor>0.0</monitor></channel>

However, I faild. I have no idea how to achieve the goal. Any help will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Zhefu
