Hello, Nate,
I'm afraid I can't help you with Petalinux. But we have epics7 running with rtems 5 on zync arm.
The support for zync arm is very good with RTEMS.

At the moment we also have a project in GSOC which should realize the integration of EPICS into
the development environment of RTEMS.
