Fermilab is beginning construction of a new 800 MeV superconducting
linac, known as PIP-II, to replace the current 50 year old linac
injector to the accelerator complex. The control system for PIP-II
will be based on EPICS. Furthermore a major parallel project is
underway to upgrade the existing custom control system in the rest
of the complex to one in common with PIP-II based on EPICS. These
projects are currently in the early planning stages.
Currently we have a computing infrastructure job opening in the
Accelerator Controls department. Applications should be submitted online

As these projects progress we expect more openings in the future
for programmers, hardware engineers, and computing infrastructure
specialists.
And we look forward to working with the EPICS community, drawing
on its long experience as we develop detailed plans for these projects.
