Yeah; you have to restart the engine for changes to the EPICS environment to take effect. The policy is reloaded every so often and thus can be updated at run time.

Hi Murali,

I have one naive question about the following situation.
After the archiver was started, in case that I have to change these variables.

* Should I restart the service after changing these variables?
* If so, is there any way to update them while the archiver is running?
