Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System

Yes. Both are "CS-Studio". The original one was based on Eclipse, the new one is an
update of the Control System Studio toolset that removes dependencies on Eclipse RCP and SWT. More
information: https://control-system-studio.readthedocs.io or
in presentations at recent EPICS meetings.
The work on new features is concentrating on the Phoebus-based CS-Studio.
In large part, they are compatible. Alarm configurations, PV tables, Data browser files can be opened by the new version. While they're totally different tools, the display builder can open most *.opi files.
So if you're just starting to look into this, concentrate on the current toolset, which has been in operation at sites like SNS beamlines for years and is also much easier to build from sources.
But we understand that not all sites that have been using the Eclipse-based tools can update right away, so there are still collaborators from several sites providing support for the Eclipse-based sources.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] CSS vs CSS Phoebus
I am reviewing these tools and have found links for CSS and CSS Phoebus.
Based on my reading, Phoebus is just an update to CSS is that accurate? Are they both supported by your group?
