Hi Mark,

thanks for shedding this light on the topic. I checked the web site Jhon 
mentioned, and indeed the PI-MTE camera is not on the list of supported 
cameras. So that's not the way to go for me. I will try to update the kernel 
driver to be usable on new Kernels. The basics work, but the end of the image 
transfer is not detected :(
 As the way locking is done in the kernel since the release of this driver it 
will need some changes. I will continue on that as soon as I am able to set up 
the camera in the lab building (closed due to construction work).
