There are 2 very different types of cameras that people call "webcams".

The first are cameras with Ethernet interfaces that transmit M-JPEG or other types of compressed video streams that can be viewed in a Web browser.  The areaDetector ADURL driver is the one you can use to read from that type of webcam.

The second are cameras with USB interfaces like we all use for Zoom nowadays.  The areaDetector ADUVC driver is the one you can use to read from that type of webcam.
