As the checksum calculations at least for my device is quite
involved, I have hardcoded them for now, and all communication is
strictly reading.
I'll update the files in the repository if I find time to further
work on this.

Dear Laura,
I've been recently working on a basic StreamDevice-based
device support for a SQM-160 deposition monitor. Not sure if
they share the same protocol, but if that helps you I can
share what I have. It still misses some features I wanted to
implement, though.
