Hi Laurenz,
It has templates and protocols for a few of the main parameters for 4 sensors and the first 9 materials and some EDM screens. It also includes a cpp script to generate the commands to send to the device, including the length and CRCs - this is based on the
code snippet in the manual. A few bits have been taken out because they didn't work for us, or we didn't have a need for them currently, but I think from the state it is in now it should be simple to add other parameters.
It is quite generic, there are some DLS-specific bits, such as the configure/RELEASE and etc/ directory, but it shouldn't take too much effort to build elsewhere. I expect we will continue work on this as users test it and point out bugs or missing functionality,
so we can keep this module updated with any other developments if it is useful for anyone.

Dear Laura,
you can find the database templates and protocol files here:
https://github.com/rettigl/EPICSmisc
As the checksum calculations at least for my device is quite involved, I have hardcoded them for now, and all communication is strictly reading.
I'll update the files in the repository if I find time to further work on this.
Best, Laurenz

Dear Laurenz,
Thank you very much for your response.
I am not sure if they share some features either, but it would be anyway a very good starting point.
If you could share what you have that would be very useful, moreover the database template file and the protocol file.
Best,
Laura
Dear Laura,
I've been recently working on a basic StreamDevice-based device support for a SQM-160 deposition monitor. Not sure if they share the same protocol, but if that helps you I can share what I have. It still misses some features I wanted to implement, though.
Best, Laurenz

Hello,
does anyone have EPICS device support for a quartz crystal microbalance controller, the model is SQC-310c (same as 310 but allows simultaneous readout of up to 4 QCMs). I need mainly the database file.
thanks,
Laura
