Hi EPICSers!

The Advanced Light Source (ALS) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) delivers soft X-rays light as a light source after the legendary cyclotron to discover the Pion family to open the new world the strong interaction in Nuclear Physics around 1950.

And we are looking for Control Systems Software Engineer to join the Advanced Light Source Upgrade (ALS-U) project, which will deliver 100 times brighter than the current ALS. The ALS-U may not be the world's best facility and not be the first-ever facility, but this project has substantial ground based on the strong and legendary history of the Berkeley Lab. This is the opportunity to join the accelerator's history and make its history in the next 25 years.

Due to its historical reasons, we have a lot of interesting challenges in the project. The ALS-U Controls group is tiny compared to other facilities, but we can work together with the ALS Controls group. Both will be in the same group after this upgrade project.

Best,
Han
