Hello, all.
We have a position focused on EPICS opened for SLAC’s Advanced Control Systems department.
The work involves developing, deploying, and maintaining EPICS core software, extensions, and tools in support of controls applications for the LCLS, LCLS-II accelerator, scientific instruments, infrastructure,
as well as other scientific facilities inside and outside of SLAC. This position will also be responsible for the development of robust, production Linux drivers and programming APIs using the EPICS toolkit.
This position has a multi-disciplinary role, teaming with software, hardware, project, and physics engineers and will have continuous interaction with internal customers including hardware developers, control
system application developers, physicists, and operators. You will continue enhancing your skills and experience while working directly on the software that makes direct impacts on both SLAC's day-to-day operations, and to its scientific discoveries of the
future.
