  There is an *OpenGDA* website

    http://www.opengda.org/

  but it's out of date, and no one seems to be doing anything with
  OpenGDA.  However, there's lots being done with *GDA*, and it's
  an open-source project, and Diamond would probably be open to
  collaboration.  Unfortunately, you might need some non-public repos
  (although it's probably due to an oversight or no one having devoted
  the time necessary to make those repos public).  Anyway, GDA is used
  heavily at Diamond.
