Dear all,

At CSNS, we have deployed Archiver Appliance (a version in 2018) in office network for a couple of years, and some problems bothered me for a long time.

Problem 1 (Stop archiving some PVs): Archiver Appliance sometimes stops archiving new points for some PVs, and in order to resume the PVs I must delete and re-add them. If I check status of these PVs in management page, it shows that "Connected" is "true" but "Last event" is "Never" or stays at some point in the past.

Problem 2 (Lose points): Sometimes when query history data of some PVs that update frequently, straight line appears on the history curve which means some points of the data are not stored successfully.

I did not find helpful information in log files, what might be the cause of such problems?

1. Network unstable?

2. Storage issue?

3. PVs not update for too long?

I am not sure if I have described the problems clearly, any hint is appreciated.

Thanks,

Lin
