loc vs sim in Phoebus

Hi

I tried to pass a 'loc://t(20)' as a pv to my python script file. Because I enter the 'value' (20 in this case), it only remembers the first value I send.

I cannot make it a 'trigger' as it does not change .

So I decided to use 'sim://const(12)' and this works fine. It seems to be that the sim fires without a trigger... I'm I right ?

In any case the 'sim' works for me but just curious as to why not the 'loc://'
