We are researching available options for a robotic arm for sample exchanging in the beamline. Our main concern is integration under EPICS. We found two interesting options:
1.
Mitsubishi RV-2F-D with Controller model CR75-D
2.
ABB IRB-1100
The Mitsubishi model has a TCP/IP interface supporting standard commands list. The ABB model is only supported under Windows with proprietary SDK written in C# under .NET 4.8. What I would like to ask:
1.
Does anyone has experience with controlling these models under EPICS?
2.
If not, It would be great sharing your experience in controlling robotic arms by mentioning the model and the control integration.
