I replaced the #define CONFIGURE_APPLICATION_NEEDS_CONSOLE_DRIVER with #define CONFIGURE_APPLICATION_NEEDS_SIMPLE_CONSOLE_DRIVER in modules/libcom/RTEMS/posix/rtems_config.c and modules/libcom/RTEMS/score/rtems_config.c. Both files need to be modified.
