Ø  Is that a new standardizing pattern, creating and using the xxxSuport.dbd instead of xxx.dbd?

 

I don’t think it is new, but it is the way most synApps modules are written.  This is the list of all files with that name pattern in my synApps tree:

Thank you Mark that has resolved the std.dbd issues.

Is that a new standardizing pattern, creating and using the xxxSuport.dbd instead of xxx.dbd?
Because I found a tech-talk from March that had the same issue with the modbus and modbusSupport.

I suspect your application is confusing std.dbd and stdSupport.dbd.

 

std.dbd is a complete dbd file used for booting the test IOCs in the std module.  It contains the definitions from base.dbd.

 

stdSupport.dbd is the dbd file that you should be including in your application dbd file.

Hello,

I'm compiling an IOC which uses std-R3-6, asyn-R4-36,calc-R3-7-3, StreamDevice-2-8-9, autosave-R5-10, seq-2-2-6 and base R3.15.6 to talk to an equipment.

The IOC was compiling until the implementation of doAfterIocInit() of std.dbd, and use the seqSoftIoc.dbd  . Now when I compile appears these errors

I need these modules to implement some functions, but I can't figure out if the std.dbd has base.dbd included or how to fix it.
