Hi,

Rather than only changing color, it's better to make use of different shapes or other forms of highlighting (like embedded text, or flashing, or changing line styles), to cater for color blindness, since there's different types of color blindness.

One example is the CS-Studio LED, which can have embedded text (if only a single character for a normal sized LED).

Cheers,
Matt

Never having looked at it, a question: do they work for all the various forms of color blindness?
That may be a reason to change them. I have had to implement non-default color plotting for pgplot to accommodate users.
