Hi tech-talk-team,


I have intalled strawberry-perl-5.32.1.1-64bit in win10 64bit and set EPICS_HOST_ARCH=windows-x64-mingw, gmake base-R7.0.4.1 successfully. Also matlab 2020a was intalled.


then downloaded most recent epics-labca-master from github and extracted. According to labca document, set configure/  CONFIG and RELEASE as follows:

CONFIG:
    MAKEFOR=MATLAB
    CONFIG_USE_CTRLC=YES  
RELEASE:
    EPICS_BASE=E:/LZ/base-R7.0.4.1
    MATLABDIR=D:/matlab
    MATLIB_SUBDIR=win64/mingw64


then gmake from epics-labca-master top.

gmake[2]: *** No rule to make target 'gitstring.c', needed by 'gitstring.obj'.  Stop.
gmake[2]: Leaving directory 'E:/LZ/epics-labca-master/glue/O.windows-x64-mingw'
gmake[1]: *** [E:/LZ/base-R7.0.4.1/configure/RULES_ARCHS:58: install.windows-x64-mingw] Error 2
gmake[1]: Leaving directory 'E:/LZ/epics-labca-master/glue'
gmake: *** [E:/LZ/base-R7.0.4.1/configure/RULES_DIRS:85: glue.install] Error 2

No rule to make target 'gitstring.c', needed by 'gitstring.obj'.  Stop.
