Yes; one option is to use the retiredPVTemplate; there's some documentation in the user guide. Also, I think, Rebecca Williams (thanks!) recently added support for "retrieval for retired PV without template"; this is in the main branch but has not been released yet. If you want, you can try that out as it's quite convenient.

Yes; pretty much the same answer as above. Restore it into its original location and then use the retiredPVTemplate options.
