Hi Evan,

We are also still very much use Ubuntu and build our own Debian packages for EPICS base and modules (which are relevant for us), as well as various other (python) tools (such as pyepics, caproto, epicsdbbuilder, softioc). But we do not use epicsdeb for this, but have our own toolchain.

Due to some recent improvements in infrastructure we might be able to share these packages more easily and I was already looking into this. Maybe I will have an update on this for the next EPICS collaboration meeting.

Cheers,
Eddy

Hi Evan,

I guess there is no active maintainer right now since the decline of Debian/Debian-packaging as basis for most facilities that run EPICS. We are still using basic EPICS/Debian-packaging at BESSY to setup client and server machines.
Your changes sound reasonable. I will test them in our build environment, but it's difficult for me right now so it might take some. Thanks for your work!

Best regards,
Christoph

Hi,

Is anyone still taking care of epics-debhelper? I have a pull request fixing an issue with later lintian versions [1].

Cheers,
Evan
