Hi Gu,

 

I just added mda_display.sav to the IDL_EPICS_scans repository:

https://github.com/CARS-UChicago/IDL_EPICS_scans/blob/master/mda_display.sav

 

With that .sav file you can use the IDL Virtual Machine, which is free.  It provides a nice GUI to browse and graphically display the MDA files, convert to ASCII, etc.

  I used sscan module to do some scans, and it saved files in mda format. I searched in the teck-talk, and knew IDL was able to open these files, 


but I didn't have any IDL license.  Could someone help me to convert these files from mda to ascii with other methods.
