Archiver Appliance's Behavior with Large Waveform PVs

Hi all,

We've observed some unusual behavior from the Archiver Appliance when handling large waveform PVs. The storage rate for one such PV exceeds 800,000 KB/hr. When accessing it via CSS Phoebus or the AA web interface, only live data is displayed, and archived data appears to be inaccessible —or more specifically, only one archived data point is displayed. Besides, I noticed that while there is data present in the STS directory, nothing seems to be written to the MTS directory.

A few questions came up:

• What could be causing this behavior, and is there a known solution?

• Is there a preferred range of acceptable storage rates?
• Is there a configuration available to reject storing PVs whose storage rate exceeds a defined threshold?

Also, I have a separate question regarding configuration: Is it possible to configure AA to only record PV data when the value exceeds a specific threshold?
