I’ll try following them in parallel to see if I can get an idea of where things deviate… though maybe EPICS 3 and 7 deviate little in this area?
Correct (for EPICS Base).
7 = 3 + 4 EPICS 7 = The IOC (from EPICS v3) plus PVAccess (initially called "EPICS 4")
